It's probably no surprise to learn domestic violence has increased in North East Lincs during the last twelve months.

Referrals to Women's Aid have gone up by 16%, but funding from the Conservative-led North East Lincs Council has dropped by 16% in the same period.

Roy Horobin and Grimsby and Cleethorpes Lib Dems are calling for the North East Lincs Council to raise the level of funding for the Women's Refuge and other services for victims of domestic violence so they can be helped immediately as delays can result in serious injuries and loss of lives
