If We Want to Increase the Number of Cyclists on Our Roads in N E Lincs we Need to Provide Secure Storage Facilities

2 Dec 2020

We should encourage more people to cycle - it's good for health, reduces the number of cars on the road and can often be quicker than using the car for short journeys. Cycling is also an important means of getting around for young people.

Roy Horobin commented:
"The Lib Dems have spoken to Cleethorpes residents and they told us bike security is the main thing that puts them off using their bikes more often when going to the shops and for other short journeys.

"Our Council should use some of its regeneration funding to provide bike lockers and other secure facilities at places such as the leisure centre and close to the shops so cyclists can leave their bikes for a while and be confident they will still be there when they come back for them!"
