Cut the Red Tape & Back Local Businesses

Local shops and small businesses are a vital part of North East Lincolnshire. They create jobs, serve our communities and help keep our town centres and local shopping areas alive.

But running a small business is already hard enough. Too many businesses are having to spend valuable time dealing with unnecessary paperwork, repetitive forms and complicated processes when they should be able to focus on their customers and their business.

For a small independent business, every hour spent navigating needless bureaucracy is an hour that could have been spent serving customers, improving the business or creating local jobs.

That’s why the Liberal Democrats are campaigning nationally to identify and remove at least 100 pieces of unnecessary red tape affecting businesses, making it simpler for small businesses to operate, grow and succeed.

We want businesses here in North East Lincolnshire to benefit too, with less needless bureaucracy and more time to focus on what they do best.
