Put Police Back on Our Streets

Across North East Lincolnshire, crime is around 46% higher than the UK average, while many residents tell us they are seeing fewer police on their streets, waiting longer for help and losing access to staffed local police counters.

We believe policing should be visible, accessible and rooted in the communities it serves. Residents should know their local officers, see them regularly in their neighbourhoods and have somewhere they can speak to the police face-to-face when they need help.

The Liberal Democrats are calling for a return to real community policing, with more bobbies on the beat, properly staffed walk-in police counters and better support for victims.

We want to see neighbourhood policing rebuilt across North East Lincolnshire so that residents feel safer and communities have a police service they can rely on.
